Zaragoza, November 2025 — Augusta Group and Overlord Gestión held a new session of discussion and reflection at the NH Collection Gran Hotel de Zaragoza, under the title "Advice and outlook for investing in equities and real estate". The session brought together two complementary views of investing, with the aim of examining, from professional experience, how to approach decision-making in an environment shaped by changing interest rates, geopolitical tensions and demanding valuations in certain markets.

The event featured Carlos Val-Carreres, manager of the MyInvestor Value fund and pension plan, and Íñigo Muñoz, director of the M70 Family Office and Head of Investments at Overlord Gestión. The conversation, moderated by Miguel López Souvirón, head of investor relations at Augusta Group, gave the audience a close look at two different but complementary ways of understanding investment: equity markets and real estate assets.

Bringing back analysis and discipline

One of the session's main threads was the need to bring back analysis, discipline and rigour, rather than rushing to invest or following trends. From the equities side, speakers stressed the importance of analysing the quality of businesses, their balance sheets, management teams and valuations; from the real estate perspective, the emphasis was on a comprehensive upfront analysis of the asset, understanding not only its return but also its costs, risks and time horizon.

The most common mistakes

The conversation also covered some of the most common mistakes when investing, and the importance of learning from them. Among the reflections shared were the need to avoid excessive leverage, not to invest solely on the back of growth "narratives", to buy at sensible valuations and to always be clear about the objective behind each investment. Both speakers also highlighted diversification, continuous learning and developing one's own judgement as essential building blocks of a consistent long-term investment strategy.

Ultimately, the event brought together different perspectives on how to invest sensibly: understanding what you invest in, keeping a long-term view and making decisions consistent with each investor's objectives and profile, rather than being carried along by the fashion of the moment. Afterwards, the day closed with a cocktail reception at the Gran Hotel de Zaragoza, extending the exchange of experiences between speakers and attendees.
